Dog control services for the Village of Bolivar are managed by the Town of Bolivar. Residents should direct all animal-related concerns, including licensing, complaints, or general inquiries, to the Town’s Dog Control Officer. Residents are reminded that New York State law requires all dogs to be licensed.

The Village of Bolivar partners with the Municipal Alliance of Code Enforcement (M.A.C.E.) to ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and property maintenance standards. The M.A.C.E. Office of Code Enforcement & Building Inspection is responsible for promoting safety, maintaining property values, and supporting a thriving community.

The Bolivar Joint Fire District is a dedicated and independent entity providing essential fire protection and emergency medical services (EMS) to the residents of the Bolivar Township, including the Village of Bolivar. Additionally, through an agreement, the district extends its services to portions of the neighboring Town of Genesee, ensuring a wider community is protected and supported in times of need.
